Valmont Translation Guard — Privacy

Data used

We read your shop identity, published language settings and Shopify-native product translation records. Source and translated text are processed temporarily to determine presence and calculate hashes. We store product IDs, locale and field identifiers, source digests, translation hashes, outdated flags, baselines and incident history. Shopify authentication sessions and access tokens are stored to operate the app.

We do not request customer or order access, edit translations, add storefront scripts or sell data. Shopify may provide store-owner contact information as part of app installation; we do not request it in our monitoring queries.

Hosting and retention

Railway hosts the application and PostgreSQL database. Shopify provides authentication and native app billing. Scan and audit logs are retained for 30 days. Current baselines and incident history remain while installed. Uninstall removes active app records and sessions; infrastructure backups may persist under the hosting provider's retention policies.
